Ingredients
  

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 8 slices bacon (do not use thick cut)
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley (for garnish)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
  • Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels. Rub half of the spice mixture evenly over all sides of the chicken breasts.
  • Wrap each chicken breast with 2 slices of bacon, slightly overlapping the slices to cover the chicken completely. Place the wrapped chicken breasts seam side down in a baking pan or ovenproof skillet.
  • Sprinkle the remaining spice mixture over the top of the bacon-wrapped chicken breasts.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25–30 minutes, or until the bacon is crisp and the chicken is cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F/74°C). Baste the chicken once or twice during baking with the pan drippings for extra flavor and moisture.
  • If you prefer extra crispy bacon, broil the chicken for an additional 1–2 minutes, watching closely to prevent burning.
  • Remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes. Sprinkle with chopped parsley before serving.
