Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups (240 g) all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup (226 g) unsalted butter, room temperature
  • ¾ cup (150 g) granulated sugar
  • 5 large eggs, room temperature
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) vanilla extract
  • 14 oz. can sweetened condensed milk

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C). Grease and line a 9-inch or 10-inch cake pan with parchment paper.
  • Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
  • Cream butter and sugar with a mixer for 2-3 minutes until light and fluffy.
  • Add eggs one at a time, then add vanilla and mix well.
  • Alternately add dry ingredients and condensed milk (dry, milk, dry, milk, dry), mixing until just combined.
  • Pour batter into the pan and bake for 45-60 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then remove the sides of the springform pan and cool completely on a wire rack.
