- 2 cups (240 g) all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup (226 g) unsalted butter, room temperature
- ¾ cup (150 g) granulated sugar
- 5 large eggs, room temperature
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) vanilla extract
- 14 oz. can sweetened condensed milk
Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C). Grease and line a 9-inch or 10-inch cake pan with parchment paper.
Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
Cream butter and sugar with a mixer for 2-3 minutes until light and fluffy.
Add eggs one at a time, then add vanilla and mix well.
Alternately add dry ingredients and condensed milk (dry, milk, dry, milk, dry), mixing until just combined.
Pour batter into the pan and bake for 45-60 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then remove the sides of the springform pan and cool completely on a wire rack.
