Casserole Ingredients
- 8 large eggs (or substitute with 4 whole eggs and 6 egg whites)
- 1 cup whole or 2% milk
- ½ teaspoon seasoned salt (such as Lawry's)
- 8 ounces diced cooked ham
- 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
- 3 tablespoons very finely diced sweet onion
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or spray an 8-inch square baking dish with nonstick cooking spray or butter. Set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, crack 8 large eggs (or 4 whole eggs and 6 egg whites). Add 1 cup of milk and ½ teaspoon seasoned salt. Whisk until the mixture is smooth and well blended.
Stir in the 8 ounces of diced cooked ham, 1 cup of grated cheddar cheese, and 3 tablespoons of finely diced sweet onion. Mix until everything is evenly combined.
Pour the egg mixture into the prepared baking dish. Spread evenly with a spatula and gently tap the dish to remove air bubbles and help ingredients settle.
Place in the preheated oven and bake for 40–45 minutes, or until the eggs are set and a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
Let the casserole rest for a few minutes after baking. Cut into squares and serve warm. Garnish with fresh chives or parsley if desired.
