Casserole Ingredients

  • 1 lb breakfast sausage
  • 1 tablespoon dried minced onion
  • 1 dozen eggs
  • 3/4 cup whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 cup grated sharp cheddar cheese, divided

Instructions
 

  • Brown sausage with onion in a skillet.
  • Whisk eggs, milk, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Spread 3/4 of sausage in casserole dish, top with half the cheese.
  • Pour egg mixture over sausage and cheese.
  • Bake for 30 minutes, until almost set.
  • Add remaining cheese and sausage on top, bake 10–15 more minutes.
  • Let rest 5 minutes, cut into squares, and serve.
